Holly Molly
Date posted: 09/28/08 Date last updated: 12/13/08 Location: Georgia Age: 4 years
Holly is a bouncy, bubbly handful
of French Bulldog joie de vivre. In other words, she’s a pistol! Holly and her cohort, Euro, were
both turned over to the FBVillage by a small commercial kennel that
had decided to upgrade its breeding stock by humanely placing its non-AKC
registered dogs. Now that her motherhood days are
over, it’s time for Holly to put her paws up and let others take care
of her for a change. Holly likes people just fine: big,
little, and in-between, but she doesn’t really know what to expect of
them, or what people expect of her. When someone reaches out to pet
her, Holly rolls over onto her back. Constantly on guard to see will
happen next, Holly is nevertheless starved for affection. If she is
not the center of attention, Holly will let you know in no uncertain
terms what she thinks! And when she is happy, Holly gives kisses out
generously. Holly is not
housebroken and not crate trained. In the kennel where she lived,
housebreaking and crate training just weren't necessary. The first night
that Holly spent in a crate, she barked the ENTIRE NIGHT, but
now she is almost entirely crate trained. On the loose, Holly
can be overwhelming. Her exuberance sometimes results in, well,
a few things knocked down here and there. Holly loves other dogs and can whip them
into a frenzy with her wild energy. But it is all in good fun. She
loves everybody and everybody loves her. It will take time to teach
her how to behave in polite society, but
with time and patience she promises to be a wonderful companion for
somebody.
Please make a contribution to the FBVillage so that we can continue
to help dogs like Holly make the transition from kennel dog to beloved
family pet. Click on the "Sponsor A K-Kid" globe and
make a donation
in any amount, and be sure to say it's for Holly. Thank you! |
