Boomer has had a hard journey.  He has already lived in two homes with two different families  on two different coasts in his young life.  He started out happily enough as a puppy purchased by a couple in New York state, where he was much spoiled and the center of attention.  Unfortunately, his favored status was usurped by the arrival of a baby.  Boomer made his displeasure known, and it wasn't long before he was out the door, on his way to a new home with family friends, 3000 miles away in California. 

Unhappy with his reduced status, and especially with the prospect of sharing his home with the dogs already in residence - a 14 year old Golden retriever and a 3 year old Labrador retriever - Boomer began to fall apart, fighting with the dogs in his home, and then snapping and growling at family members.  Once more, after an uneasy 18 months, the unfortunate Boomer was shown the door.

Boomer is currently in a foster home in southern California where he is being evaluated to see if he can ever be safely placed in a permanent home.  We're hoping that somewhere behind those sad suspicious eyes, there are still the makings of a trusting and loving companion.
