The French Bulldog Village attends the FBDCA 2007 National Specialty in Colorado!

Every year the French Bulldog Club of America puts on a national dog show just for Frenchies called the FBDCA National Specialty.  Each year, it is held in a different state across the country.  Next year, it will be held in Kansas.  Did you know that the original Toto from the Wizard of Oz series was a French Bulldog?  It's true!

Show events include conformation, obedience trials, educational conferences, a rescue parade, a parade of champions, a costume contest, dinner parties, and lots of wonderful booths filled with incredible Frenchie items.

We would like to thank the following sponsors and folks who donated items for

our booth this year...THANK YOU,  THANK YOU,  THANK YOU!  Thanks for making our

first National Specialty booth a big success!  We couldn't have done it without you!

Frenchies came by the dozens and half dozens too!

Some came with their little ones two by two.

The old ones were honored...

(Best Veteran 14 yrs old)

and so were their brood...

(Best Bred By Dog)

They dressed up, entertained us, and we laughed...

(winner's of the costume contest, "Wizard of Oz")

and laughed

and laughed some more

The rescued Frenchies paraded...

(rescue parade)

with glory and flare...

The show dogs stacked up and reminded us just why we were there.

(FBDCA National Specialty "Sweeps")

After 5 days of events it was time to pack up...

(Independent Specialty)

with memories of witches, and memories of kings,

(costume contest)

of a Shrek and a Donkey, and other strange things!
