The latest from Georgia…

Tyree September 4th, 2008

The new K-Kid Euro has tested positive for Heartworm. He is currently undergoing treatment and needs lots of rest and a calm, peaceful environment, which his current foster home is more than apt to give.

However Molly, who came into rescue with Euro, is a barrel of fun unto herself and her exuberance is quite contagious. Euro is a bouncing Tigger when she is around and has no interest in being calm whatsoever. So, in the best interest of Euro, we have decided to move Molly to another one of our other Village foster homes to spread her good cheer. We hope her new foster home is ready for the madcap mayhem!

Please send along some healing thoughts for Euro. He will need them!

Announcing new K-Kids Molly (Too) & Euro

Tyree August 30th, 2008

Many of us at the Village are absolutely GREEN with envy at our fellow volunteer who has taken in these gorgeous fur butts. Molly and Euro, who may be renamed here in the near future, are hunkering down in Georgia and loving their new digs. This is foster dad’s first report from down South:

Molly is a 4 year-old intact black and white pied female. She is a bouncy bundle of love. She is weak in her back end, but not too weak. She just seems to sway a little at times. She’ll be heading to the vet to find out what the deal is. She freely gives kisses and loves attention.

Euro is a 4 year-old intact fawn male with a black mask. He is all MUSCLE and is a clown. He is very active and playful, and entertained me by climbing in his water bucket and sitting in it within 10 minutes of his arrival. Then he flipped it over. He is a handsome Frenchie. So far, his only fault is that he just pees on everything…And I mean EVERYTHING!!! We will have to work on his house training!

Let’s hope that the couches in Euro’s new home are covered with plastic. They’re not? Ah well, the joys of fostering…
