How does that old saying go - they grow so fast? Well, Stewie’s foster mom better not blink because this little guy is quickly turning into a “big guy” (not to mention that Stewie probably made off with one of her table legs in that timeframe).
Stewie had his neuter surgery two weeks ago, which slowed him down for all of 2 minutes.
Maybe we should have named him Speed Racer, since he is always in a hurry - hurry to eat, hurry to play, heck he even runs in his sleep! But he is a puppy, so all that energy will dissipate as he matures (we hope!) He is showing improvement on his house training, not quite 100% but getting there. And as long as no one blinks, all shoes and furniture legs are safe. Potential adopters be forewarned - this dude is a shoe aficionado.
Stewie had his stitches removed this past Monday and his foster mom is feeling that it is nearly time for this guy to board the Bus. It’s either that or she will never be able to let him go. We don’t blame her. He sure does have cuteness to spare.
So, if you are interested in making Stewie a part of your life and don’t mind wearing shoes full of dog slobber and teeth marks, then keep checking back on our website. We will be showcasing him on the Bus soon!

Remember Rocky? Well it seems that our little (we use the term loosely) floppy-eared, Frenchie mix has settled quite nicely into his foster home. He loves to play with the other dogs in the house, especially the ladies. He is not the typical lap hog most of us come to expect out of our French Bulldogs, but he does enjoy belly rubs and sleeping next to his foster mom on the bed. He has even warmed up to his foster dad.
His foster mom reports no serious food or toy aggression on Rocky’s part; although he did harumph once at the other dogs when there was food around, but after a quick time out, he straightened his act.
He loves children and even has his own personal fairy princess to hug him at night. Now that’s the good life!

The new K-Kid Euro has tested positive for Heartworm. He is currently undergoing treatment and needs lots of rest and a calm, peaceful environment, which his current foster home is more than apt to give.
However Molly, who came into rescue with Euro, is a barrel of fun unto herself and her exuberance is quite contagious. Euro is a bouncing Tigger when she is around and has no interest in being calm whatsoever. So, in the best interest of Euro, we have decided to move Molly to another one of our other Village foster homes to spread her good cheer. We hope her new foster home is ready for the madcap mayhem!
Please send along some healing thoughts for Euro. He will need them!

Fluffy is continuing to see improvement for the most part, but Fluffy’s foster mom is doing a high-wire balancing act with her diet. She has been trying to transition Fluffy to a raw diet but it seems that Fluffy can only take about a half raw meal before she starts having bowel issues again. So, it’s back to the drawing board (and a consultation with a homeopathic vet) for some fine tuning. We dream of the day when leakage will no longer be a problem for this little gal.
Keep those good thoughts coming her way!

Poor Miss Betty Boop. There are five Frenchies in her foster home and none of them seems to want to play
football with her. Perhaps it is because she has already run them all ragged!
Betty’s foster mom tells us that although Betty’s back legs are weak, it does not stop her from enjoying her life to the fullest. She runs everywhere she goes and plays tag with her foster siblings in the yard every night. Do not be fooled by the languishing pose in the photo…
