Benny's father was a pure bred dark
brindle
French Bulldog and his mother was a French Bulldog/Shih Tzu cross who
apparently looks a lot like Benny. Benny has already been in
three different homes before coming into the custody of the
FBVillage, all through no fault of his own, so we would like this
next home to be his forever home!
Benny is a friendly and outgoing little dog who gets along with
other dogs, cats, and all of the people he meets. He is a
sweet little dog, who is very affectionate with and devoted to his
foster mom. He can, however, get over excited and grab his
foster mom's hand or get obnoxious with the other dogs at play, but
a quick spritz with a water bottle will set him straight again. He
is a smart little dog, and he rarely commits the same misdeed twice
once he knows what is expected of him.
He loves
to play with the other dogs, but he also loves to cuddle next to his
foster mom. He loves his stuffed toys and will fetch them back
as long as anyone is willing to throw them for him. He is not
possessive or aggressive about his toys or food.
Benny is crate trained and
housebroken, although any dog in a new situation may have a few
accidents until he learns his new schedule. He has had no health issues to date and is current on his
veterinary care. He has received extensive training while
in foster care to ensure that he knows how to behave himself around
people and other pets.
Benny will only be placed in a household with children over 5
years of age. Benny's perfect home would be a calm home, as
Benny does have a tendency to get rowdy if he is overexcited. This
is a smart little dog who would benefit from a close relationship
with his owner, where he would be a welcome passenger on car trips
(Benny loves riding in the car!) and where he could participate in
all of his owner's activities.
