French Bulldog Bus Passenger Moe now called Owen, rides the Bus from Oregon to California!

We wanted to thank the French Bulldog Bus for the wonderful little boy we now have the privilege to take care of – Owen! Our experience couldn’t have been any better.

We had been searching for just the right puppy to add to our household, which already included a 3 ½ yr. old male Frenchie named Buster.  Then one day Rebecca contacted us about an adorable 6-month-old male puppy in Oregon that needed a home.  We were immediately interested and filled out the application and spoke to his breeder.   She was wonderful.  I was a little nervous about adopting a puppy without being able to see him firsthand, but she took the time to answer all my questions about him and his personality, sent us pictures, and then kept us informed while we coordinated his transfer to California.

We had to wait a few weeks for his arrival because we had to give Owen time to recuperate from his neutering.  It was agonizing because we were so anxious to see him in person, but was well worth the wait!  We were able to ship him via Alaska Airlines and we picked him up at the airport after his two-hour flight.

It was love at first sight!  Owen was 20 lbs. of solid sunshine!  We couldn’t have asked for a better puppy.  People always ask us why we wanted an older puppy.  Wouldn’t we miss all the cuteness?  Perhaps, but we wouldn’t miss the potty training!  Also, an older puppy would allow us to evaluate their personality a little better before adding him to our family.  In the end it all worked out very well.  Owen is an ideal complement to Buster.  Buster is a big, rowdy muscle boy.  Owen is a quiet, sweet, pudgy little guy.  But they balance each other out and although it has only been a week, we are seeing a wonderful improvement in Buster’s mood.  They play all day and nap in the sun.  They are both exhausted at night – and so are we!  I couldn’t have imagined a better addition to our household!
